A cut Chrysanthemum stem was placed in a vase of red-coloured food dye for five hours. During this time, the food-dye was transported up the stem by the xylem vessels into the leaves and petals.

After a year, 6 assassin snails (Clea helena) have increased to hundreds. When an algal wafer is dropped into the tank they emerge from the gravel in vast numbers. There are also Neon tetras (Paracheirodon innesi) and the normally reclusive Otos (Otocinclus sp). The snails disappear when the food has gone. (108 minutes  condensed into 27 seconds).

An impromptu timelapse sequence of a bouquet of flowers opening over a three day period. Lighting was not controlled, hence the flickering but an interesting insight into unseen activity in the living room.
